The Full Story

Inspired by the heart of the Good Shepherd, this tender children’s book tells the story of a little lamb who wanders far from home… but is then found.

My Mission

This story was born from a burden on my heart: I believe the enemy is after the hearts and minds of our children. We live in a world filled with so much negativity and harmful influences—from TV, media, and entertainment—that can easily pull our little ones away from truth and hope. That’s why I feel called to create stories and art that point children back to God’s love and faithfulness.

I want to offer something different, something rooted deeply in faith and truth, so they can grow with a strong sense of identity as beloved children of the Good Shepherd. Levi the Lost Lamb was the first children’s book I wrote as part of this mission. It reflects my passion for writing stories that are both beautiful and biblically rooted, stories that plant seeds of faith and identity in little hearts.

Through storytelling, I hope to inspire children to know they are deeply loved, never alone, and always worthy of being found.

My Vision

Every illustration in Levi the Lost Lamb was created by me using just watercolor and acrylic paint on canvas panels. It was incredibly important to me that these images come straight from my heart and each be hand drawn—each one inspired by God’s wonder and the story’s message of hope.

When I first dreamed of writing this book, I never imagined I could illustrate it myself. Even though I painted my whole life, I had never felt capable of drawing animals, especially capturing the complex emotions of the little lamb—the softness, the fear, the hope. There were so many obstacles along the way that felt impossible, but God gave me the strength to conquer all my doubts.

There was such a pivotal moment for me when my publisher needed six finished illustrations in just five days—a task that felt completely impossible, especially since it had taken me three months to complete a single illustration earlier on. But by God’s provision alone, I finished all six illustrations two days before the deadline. Whenever I look at these illustrations, I am truly in awe of the absolute truth that all things are possible with God.

I’m so proud of what He allowed me to accomplish through this season. It was such a special experience creating a little world for Levi  and being able to step into that world through painting. This journey has been life changing for me and I hope every page reflects the love and faith poured into it.
